Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Coupe is the top model in the AMG GT lineup and the price of AMG GT top model is 2.64 Crore.It returns a certified mileage of 8.06 kmpl. This R Coupe variant comes with an engine putting out 577 bhp @ 6250 rpm and 700 Nm @ 2100 rpm of max power and max torque respectively. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Coupe is available in Automatic (Dual Clutch) transmission and offered in 12 colours: Amg Green Hell Magno, Magnetite Black, Brilliant Blue, Designo Brilliant Blue Magno, Selenite Grey, Designo Selenite Grey Magno, Designo Hyacinth Red Metallic, Designo Iridium Silver Magno, Jupiter Red, Iridium Silver, Designo Diamond White Bright and AMG Solarbeam.
The German carmaker launched the updated AMG GT R in India in May 2020. It still has the 4.0-litre Twin-Turbo V8 which develops 577bhp and 700Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an AMG-spec Speedshift seven-speed DCT. The AMG GT R can achieve 0 to 100kmph time of 3.6 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 318kmph.
The present GT R model features new adaptive LED bulbous headlamps with V-shaped DRLs. Additionally, the rear end also gets reworked LED taillamps and diffuser and there is a fixed spoiler as well. Newly designed alloys are a part of the update as well.
Inside, the cockpit now features a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen for the first time which works with MBUX and Mercedes Me Connect. The pair of seats wear Nappa leather upholstery and the performance steering wheel contains an AMG drive mode selector. There are six driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race, Individual and Slippery.
This performance-oriented GT R comes with some high-end AMG exclusive mechanicals such as AMG rear-axle steering, AMG electronic rear-axle limited-slip differential. AMG performance exhaust system, AMG ride control suspension and lastly AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system.
