McLaren GT Coupe is the top model in the GT lineup and the price of GT top model is 3.72 Crore. This Coupe variant comes with an engine putting out 612 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 630 Nm @ 5500 rpm of max power and max torque respectively. McLaren GT Coupe is available in Automatic (Dual Clutch) transmission and offered in 6 colours: Onyx Black, Aurora Blue, Storm Grey, Vermillion Red, Silica White and McLaren Orange.
McLaren showcased the GT coupé at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, and it is the sportscar manufacturer’s version of a grand tourer. Although this car is a grand tourer it is inherently a super-fast McLaren. The British car marque has now brought this GT to India.
This sports tourer is powered by an M840TE 3,994cc twin-turbocharged V8 mill married to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission powering only the rear axle. This motor produces 612bhp at 7,500rpm and delivers 630Nm of torque from 5,500 to 6,500rpm. It can go from 0 to 100kmph in a mere 3.2 seconds while the 0 to 200 time is achieved in exact 9.0 seconds. Besides, the GT has a top speed of 326kmph.
The GT coupé uses a carbon fibre tub monocoque body similar to other McLaren models. It also gets a carbon fibre rear upper structure. Besides, the GT gets full-LED headlamps and taillamps. But there is no adaptive spoiler at the rear because McLaren has given an integrated spoiler instead.
Inside, the cabin of the GT is classier in terms of comfort and luxury rather than performance-oriented like the 720S. The posh interior has full trim Nappa leather with visible carbon fibre on some parts. It also gets comfort seats upholstered in leather. There is a tablet-like seven-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
McLaren has equipped the GT coupé with double wishbone suspension and adaptive damper with proactive damper control. Moreover, it comes with electronic stability control, roll stability control and Bowers and Wilkins premium sound system.
