BMW Z4 sDrive 20i is the petrol variant in the Z4 lineup and is priced at 66.54000.It returns a certified mileage of 14.37 kmpl. This sDrive 20i variant comes with an engine putting out 194 bhp @ 4500 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1450 rpm of max power and max torque respectively. BMW Z4 sDrive 20i is available in Automatic (Torque Converter) transmission and offered in 6 colours: Mediterranean Blue Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, San Francisco Red Metallic, Glacier Silver Metallic, Alpine White and Mineral White.
Speak of convertible and the BMW Z4 Roadster immediately gets a mention. The German luxury car manufacturer, BMW has introduced the Z4 Roadster in India in two engine options - the sDrive20i and the BMW M Performance model, the M40i. The globally popular two-seat convertible available as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU).
In terms of design, the BMW Z4 Roadster gets a long bonnet along with classic soft top and short overhangs that define the characteristic roadster silhouette of the car. The BMW convertible also gets a new mesh grille and distinctive vertically aligned LED headlights. The large aerodynamic air vents on the front wheel arches further enhance its sporty appeal. As for the rear, the Roadster gets slim LED taillights, a distinctive rear spoiler, diffuser and exhaust tailpipes. The company claims that the electric soft-top opens in mere 10 seconds.
Under the hood, the Z4 sDrive20i is powered by a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 194bhp of power and 320Nm of torque at 1,450 – 4,200rpm. The vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in 6.6-seconds. The M Sport package variant, the Z4 M40i, is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine that produces a total power output of 335bhp and a maximum torque of 500Nm at 1,600 - 4,500 rpm. The M40i is capable of accelerating from 0 -100kmph in just 4.5 seconds. The engines comes mated to an eight-speed steptronic sport transmission.
As for the interior, the Z4 Roadster offers driver seat memory function and increased storage space behind the seats with a retaining net, large cupholders under the centre armrest cover and roomy door pockets. On the other hand, the standard specification for the BMW Z4 M40i includes a leather and Alcantara interior with blue contrast stitching and blue piping. As an alternative to the standard Quartz Silver, the trim finishers can also be outfitted in high-gloss black, aluminium mesh effect or aluminium tetragon. Furthermore, the M sports seats come with additional adjustment options which includes the M leather steering wheel.
In terms of safety, the new Z4 Roadster comes with front and side airbags, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control with cornering brake control, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor. The convertible also gets an emergency spare wheel.
